We repair tiled roofs in both Albion Park and Albion Park Rail: broken and slipped tiles replaced, ridge and hip capping re-bedded and repointed, valleys cleared and leaks traced from the ceiling stain back to the entry point. Gutters, downpipes, flashings and metal roofing are roof plumbing, a separate trade, and a full re-roof needs a licensed contractor, so we refer both on.

• Most of the calls come from the Rail. The brick-and-tile homes there went up in a short window and the bedding mortar under the ridge capping is reaching the end of its life across whole streets at once, which shows up as sandy debris in the gutters and a stain on the ceiling after a heavy southerly.
• The newer estates up the hill are mostly Colorbond, and a leak on a metal roof is a roof plumber's job from the start. We will tell you that on the phone rather than come out and quote work we cannot do.
• General house repairs run alongside the roofing: sticking doors, gates, patching, blinds, tiling repairs and the rental make-good list. Everything we take on sits under the NSW contractor-licence threshold of $5,000 in labour and materials including GST, and if a job is going to cross it we say so up front.
